Origin Story

In 1991, Barry Barr was fishing off the wild Alaskan coast when a gust of wind blew his hat into the sea. Inspired by this incident, he created a hat that would never fall off. Today, nearly 30 years later, the hat is still hand-cut and hand-sewn in Seattle by the same family, ensuring its longevity and durability.

It features a beefy nylon tubular webbing with a 4,000 lb breaking point, a KAVU d-ring adjustment, and five 43-stitch bar tacks. The patterned nylon tubular webbing and KAVU adjustment make it easy to find the perfect fit for any head size.
